YogaForFitness is free to read. We pay for it with affiliate commissions and, later, possibly advertising. This page explains how that works and the rules we follow.
Amazon Associates
YogaForFitness is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that lets sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
What that means on our pages:
- Many guides show a small “Helpful gear” box, and some mention gear in the text, with links to products on Amazon.com. If you buy through one of those links, Amazon may pay us a commission. You pay the same price.
- Amazon links are plain text links. Our pages don’t load images, prices or scripts from Amazon, so nothing about your visit reaches Amazon unless you click.
- We don’t show Amazon prices, star ratings or customer reviews. Prices change often, so check the current price on Amazon before you buy.
- Every guide with affiliate links says so near its title.
Other programs
We don’t belong to any other affiliate program yet. When we join one, for example a yoga mat or apparel brand, we’ll name it here and update the date at the top.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to a seller that tells the seller you came from our site. If you then buy something, the seller may pay us a commission. It never changes the price you pay.
Our rules
- Commissions never decide what we recommend. When you don’t need to buy anything, we say so: most yoga needs no gear at all.
- Every product has to earn its place. We set out the criteria first and then pick products that meet them, from makers’ specifications, warranties and return policies. These are not hands-on tests. See how we choose gear.
- No product is presented as a treatment for any health condition, and we don’t link to supplements.
- We don’t sell reviews, rankings or placements, and no company can pay to be included or to change what we write.
- Affiliate links are marked in the page code as “sponsored”, as search engines ask.
