Yoga for Wellness is a gentle Hatha (Iyengar and Anusara Style) slow moves and gentle stretches combined with strengthening and balancing postures. Focus on stress-releasing moves with emphasis on deep relaxation. Recommended for anyone including Newcomers, Backcare, Seniors, or Pregnant. The classes are taught in a multi-level format appropriate for all ages and fitness levels (modifications offered).
Restorative/Yin & YogaStretch- A Therapeutic approach with modifications for healing and rehabilitation using restorative, restful, and rejuvenating poses for deep stretch and relaxation. Use of props such as blocks, bolsters, blankets, and belts.
Specialty Classes offered:
YogaCORE- Focus is on Core Strength. Strong postural muscles are important for preventing and relieving low-back pain. Use of PhysioBall
ThaiYoga- A combination of massage and yoga postures done in a flowing format to increase overall circulation and range of motion.
Prenatal –(ACOG precautions used) Modified , safe, and nurturing postures to get strong, centered and prepare your body for labor.
Postpartum/Mommy-n-Me- Strengthen and tone Pelvic Floor and Abdominal muscles to help return hips and spine to pre-pregnancy health.
